We have received our first shipment of flu shots. We now have the injectable and FluMist. You can call and schedule an appointment for either of these. They will be done by appointment only and will require a copay or payment at the time of service. If you have Medicaid or do not have coverage for the flu vaccine we will be receiving state funded vaccine but do not have that in yet.

We have FluMist in for the 2010-2011 Flu Season. FluMist is indicated for healthy children, adolescents, and adults 2 to 49 years of age. If your child is 5-8 years of age and is recieving a flu vaccine for the first time, 2 doses are recommended. The second dose should be given at least 4 weeks after the initial dose. Flu Mist should not be used in anyone with an allergy to any part of the vaccine, including eggs; in children and adolescents recieving asprin therapy; in people who have a history of Guillain-Barre syndrome; and in people with known or suspected immune problems. Pregnant women and people with certain medical conditions, asthma, or reactive airway disease should not recieve FluMist.

Flu vaccine will be given by appointment only. Please call our office to make an appointment. If your child already has an appointment scheduled with one of our physicians they can recieve their flu vaccine at that time along with any siblings that are present. If you are on medicaid, do not have insurance, or your insurance doesn't cover the flu vaccine you qualify for the state funded flu vaccine, but we do not have this supply in yet. We also do not have the injectable flu vaccine in yet. We will keep you up to date as information changes. Please be aware there is a copay due at the time of service when you come in for your flu vaccine. Please also be aware we do have a new policy. If you do not have your insurance card with you, have a high deductable plan and your deductable has not been met, or do not have insurance we will require $50 at the time of check in that will be applied to that days visit

Also- in an effort to accommadate all of our patients who need to be seen, if you do not cancel your well child appointment within 24 hours or a sick visit within 2 hours you will be charged a $22.00 no show fee
