Dr. Waterhouse was born in China, but moved with her family to Pittsburgh, PA when she was 5 years old. Lu Lu attended Princeton University for her undergraduate education where she met her husband, Tyler, as they were both rowers for the Princeton Crew team. She stayed in the east coast for medical school, attending the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, but then decided to head west for her pediatric residency at Primary Children’s Hospital and fell in love with the mountains and Salt Lake City. Lu Lu was chosen to be a Chief Resident and is board certified in pediatrics. Lu Lu and Tyler welcomed their first son, Bode, in September 2012 and their second son, Nash, in May 2016 and are loving the adventures (and challenges) of parenthood! Lu Lu enjoys hiking with Tyler, Bode, Nash and Fenway (their Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever who was their first “son”). She loves skiing in the Wasatch and has had fun teaching Bode to ski these past few seasons. She enjoys traveling and has been to Belize (where she volunteered at a medical clinic), the Cook Islands, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Tibet, Spain, France, and Austria. She hopes to travel to many more places with her family once her boys are a little older. Dr. Waterhouse loves pediatrics because kids have such fun and amazing personalities and she cherishes the relationships she is able to form with them and their families as their pediatrician.
